The Bushwackers vs. The Repo Man & Damian Demento
Luke & Butch enter through the crowd, and they do their usual entrance, including a new part where they hug and high five the ring card woman.
This was not good at all. Luke & Butch run wild, and drive both men out of the ring, as Ref Bill Afonso is probably imagining what his future looks like. I imagine he didn’t realize it would be holding chairs for Rob Van Dam to smash opponents with while blowing a whistle.
Repo & Demento get the heat with some nefarious tactics, but of course, this doesn’t last forever, and the babyfaces turn it around and win with a battering ram after a few minutes.
RATING: 1/5 – a slightly below average tag match, but the crowd is really into Luke & Butch, so at least there was that.
Tatanka vs. Reno Riggins
Tatanka beats him quickly with a Samoan Drop after a brief heat segment, giving an opponent that Tatanka had to overcome in order to look strong. Tatanka hulks up and gets the win soon after.
Andre the Giant is announced as an inductee to the WWF Hall of Fame.
Money Inc vs. Scott Rich (w/ his Rat Tail) & Jeff Armstrong
Money Inc smash these guys quickly, sending a message to Hulk Hogan & Brutus Beefcake. If you don’t know what a rat tail is, it is this picture below, and it’s horrible:
Bartlett is so into the match that he is channel surfing while on commentary.
Money Inc win when IRS hits a flying clothesline.
Mean Gene is back with a WrestleMania report, running down the card, including the main event: Bret Hart vs. Yokozuna!
Doink vs. Kamala
This was another poor match. Very slow paced, and Doink gets the win by distracting Kamala with a present leading to him being counted out. Kamala opens the present and is sad when he finds nothing in it. He chases Doink around the ring. Doink goes underneath the ring, and Kamala follows. As Kamala tries to come out, Doink tries to hit him with a chair, but Kamala sneaks behind him and chases him off.
The show closes with them talking about WrestleMania 9. As a hype show for WrestleMania, this was a poor show. Not very good at all.
OVERALL RATING: DUD – My first DUD for an overall rating. Wow. That’s pretty significant. This show is one you can miss.
